Warm Wishes

Warm Wishes

Like many of you, our last few months have flown by and we are now in full holiday mode!

Evie completed her swimming lessons and will be moving onto the next level next year. She also finished her skating lessons where she learned to stand up, jump and balance. She even started gliding while pushing with one foot. She really enjoys skating so we plan to go skating as a family more often, especially since Wes is finally starting to show interest (most lessons he was laying on the ice in protest…”It is too slippery!”).

If you follow our Facebook group you saw Evie’s latest skill…hopping on one foot! She can now hop up to four times in a row on her right leg. This is very difficult for her but one day she ran up to me and said “Look what I can do now!” She is often showing new movements at home and I think a lot of it is from stuff she does at school. Evie also has been able to zip her coat up! This was a BIG deal! Seeing how she has progressed in being able to dress herself (and undress out of snow gear) independently has been great! There was a time I wasn’t sure she would ever be able to put on her own socks and now she is pretty fast! Putting her shoes on with and without her AFOs is still a challenge but I’m sure she will find a way!

For the next two weeks we have a lot of fun holiday events happening and the kids are so excited for Santa to visit this year! They have been busy making cookies, wrapping gifts and rocking out to holiday music (and the Frozen 2 Soundtrack, they loved the movie!). Hoping this holiday break will bring some rest and relaxation too and a change of pace from the regular hussel.

We want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa and Happy Holidays! We are very excited for the new year!! Wishing you all the best in 2020 (and the new decade)! !

Thank you always for your support and we will see next year!

Warm Wishes,

The Scott Family
