Happy Monday! Evie slept in this morning till almost 7:30 am, which almost never happens. She woke up in a great mood and completed her exercise program without any complaints. It was another cold and wet weekend in St. Louis so we stuck to indoor activities. Now that Evie has her new orthodics a shoe hunt began! We checked out two indoor malls and the two outlet malls in the area and today we finally had some luck. Shoe shopping is not the easiest when you have orthodics to consider. Evelyn had a great sleep last night since she was free of her casts! You could tell her mood was much better, especially since her independence is returning. Physiotherapy was at 9:00 am so we all had to move a bit faster this morning. It was another first today for Evie…serial casting! This morning she got a cast put on each of her legs. The casts are to give each heel cord/ankle a nice long stretch. They are hoping this will increase her range 10 to 15 degrees on each foot. The extra range will help her with her gait pattern and alignment. She will need to wear the casts for about a week.
